Too often we feel a need to react instantly to what is being said. We do not want the moment to pass without getting a word in. Whether this is in a situation where we simply want to be heard in a conversation or feel we need to react to an accusation.

We do not take into consideration that saying nothing or possibly waiting quietly for our turn speaks volumes.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
