20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20 CSB)

In the current climate the ideas around church and religion have often gained a negative connotation. Many people have become “church hurt” by the hyprocracy they see there or the way they have been treated.

This is sadly too common. We forget that the church and religion is made up of faillable people. Yes, it is supposed to be something more, but when we are involved there is always the possibility of something going wrong.

But scripture tells us “where two or three are gathered in my name (God’s name), he is there.” Thus, we can enjoy the value of community with a small number of people and know God is with us.

When churches fail us, God never will.
