Endurance

12 Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, 2 keeping our eyes on Jesus,[a] the source and perfecter[b] of our faith. For the joy that lay before him,[c] he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2 CSB)

Endurance comes in to play when we understand that the race we run is not a sprint. Life is a lesson we learn when we are done and life is over. It is a race of endurance.

We are given many friends to help us in our endurance race, but greater still we must keep our eyes on Jesus. When we take our eyes from Him we begin to understand just how hard the race truly is…without Him.

Furthermore, God did not give us only a life to endure, but one we are to live to the fullest.
