Generosity, it seems, is one of those things that people Either are or are not. It is as if it were in our DNA. And, of course, it probably is. If you were brought up in a generous family, you tend to be.

We had an old saying for people like that where I grew up, “he would give you the shirt off his back.”

Christ gave the skin off his back for us. He literally had it ripped off prior to the crusification while he was being flogged.

God only ask that we too would be people who would sow generously. Not just in our giving to the church but how we treat and help out others. This too is part of sowing and reaping.
