21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”

22 “If I want him to remain until I come,” Jesus answered, “what is that to you? As for you, follow me.” (John 21:21-22 CSB)

No matter what our circumstances we tend to look at others and ask “What about him?” We compare our situation to others and many times end up wanting. Our pride takes over and we are left wondering how others are making out by comparison.

But God has a different perspective. He simply says, “As for you, follow me.”

Keeping our eyes focused upon Christ love allows us to look only at our relationship with Him. No matter what our situation we know we are loved uniquely. He knows us by name and knows our every need.

As for you, follow me.
