Constantly

17 pray constantly, (1 Thessalonians 5:17 CSB)

This is one of those scriptures, and there are only a few, where the reference is longer than the scripture.

However, the weight of the statement is greater than we can imagine.
Both in the effect and impact it can have on our lives and, in many ways, the daunting task this represents.

We realize that we should be in constant contact with God. But pray constantly? Other interpretations read “Pray without ceasing”. Equally daunting.

It means a state where we are in a constant dialog with God. Where we put, literally, everything before him. He is both sovereign God and best friend. Walking beside us in every situation, every circumstance.

I don’t know about you, but that really works for me!
