1 Corinthians 3:10-11 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

10 According to God’s grace that was given to me, I have laid a foundation as a skilled master builder,[a] and another builds on it. But each one is to be careful how he builds on it. 11 For no one can lay any other foundation than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:10-11 CSB)

We each, whether or not we realize it, work throughout our lives to lay foundations. We build the foundation of our family lives, our career, our spiritual life. Each has a slightly different structure to uphold. But each will be marked by how others build upon what we have begun.

A person’s life creates structures  which continue well beyond his or her time on this earth. The question is what foundation are you building and how strong will the structure that is built upon it ultimately be?
