The following is from my morning devotional from “In Touch Ministries” regarding this passage, and I thought it was too good to not pass along;

Like Paul, we need an eternal perspective when facing disappointment. Nothing comes into our life without first passing through the hands of our heavenly Father, and no experience of ours is wasted.

We will experience trials in this life. We may be abandoned by those we think are closest. But through it all the Father is with us and will not waste the experience.
