19 A person with intense anger bears the penalty;
if you rescue him, you’ll have to do it again. (Proverbs 19:!9 CSB)
I used to be very prone to anger. Hot-headed. I was young, brash and had a short fuse. As I grew and matured I learned to temper my anger. I learned that a humble nature is far more profitable to myself and those around me. I learned to listen twice and speak once.
In short, I learned to manage myself.
However, I have known people who epitomize this scripture. No amount of helping them help themselves will work. They relish their anger and tend to try to use it to bully their way around in this world.
This is a short term tactic at best.
