1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, [a]we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2 NKJV)
Paul’s greeting is not arbitrary. He is stating the fact that we are all justified by faith; have peace with God through Jesus Christ; Christ, through whom we have access to faith; faith, in which we stand and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
See, in the separation of each aspect of this scripture we can really see how he breaks down this grace in which we stand. We can live each day knowing that Christ provides us the justification needed to stand before God washed white by His blood. And if this is not the faith you know, then it is time you gave your life up to Christ through which it is obtained.
I speak directly today because we have such an enemy who wishes us to believe otherwise. A world that drags us away daily from the grace and love of Christ. We are fallen creatures who are greatly in need of Christ saving blood. But we may not see this through the filter the world or our past has put upon us. We must look clearly into His face to see this love and know He provides forgiveness for any and every sin.
Reflect on: Your relationship with Christ. Do you need to come to Him today, ask for forgiveness and His saving grace. It is the grace in which we stand.
This Grace in Which We Stand
