You Also Trusted

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, (Ephesians 1:!3 NKJV)

Trust can be a difficult thing to give easily. I have known many people who require that one builds trust before it is given, in fact this is often the norm. I have been different in this sense, as I will trust until that trust is lost on a person, then it is very hard to win back.

We speak about trust, but do we truly practice it when it comes to God?

Trust in God is learning to trust in the unseen. This can be very difficult for people to give freely. Scripture tells us in many places to trust in the promises of God, but often we need to see the proof first. The situation with God is that we must give trust to see it and the problem with this is that it can often take years and maturing in faith. God’s actions are not always clearly visible. Much of what He does is done in the background or in His time. It can often take a lifetime to look back upon to see His hand clearly.

Reflect on: How you place your trust in God. Is it all in or are you waiting to see His hand clearly first? Maybe you just need to have faith and believe.
