¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)

We have an opportunity to be a truly new creation each and every day.

That may seem like an overstatement based on our scripture, but it is very true. Yes, we should become this when Christ first comes into our lives, but we should also renew it each morning, living our day accordingly.

I believe this to be true more and more every day. I think that we have to subdue our human nature on a daily basis, taking hold of it and wrest it from the hands of the world and the enemy. A failure to do so will allow both our adversaries to win. Our battle may have begun and ended from an eternal basis with Christ, but that battle goes on daily between us and the enemy. Luckily we are not alone in this war. We have the Spirit within and angels all around to fight in the unseen realms. And make not mistake, that battle rages all around us every day.

Thus, by beginning each day anew, as a new creation literally born with the sun coming up we can fight the good fight.
