We are entangled in many things in this life. Take a moment today to truly reflect on all of the things that consume your time. Also, consider how you allocate time to what is important to you. The question we need to ask ourselves is are we truly dedicating time to that which Christ would deem as important in this life.
4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. (2 Timothy 2:4 NKJV)
The fact is that our entanglements are what drag us away from what is truly important. We sink time into life and totally forget about God at times. Instead of Him being the center of our lives He is this aspect that comes up on Sundays, if that.
In many places scripture tells us to “seek the kingdom of God first, and all these will be added to your life.” The “all these” refers to all our other entanglements. When God is first, He is involved in everything and when we begin with Him being a part of everything our entanglements are less…entangling.
