10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it. (Malachi 3:10 NKJV)
It seems like today everyone is scratching to get by. Even those who are seemingly well off have complaints about the current cost of living. As such, the tithe is often the first thing that gets sacrificed when money is tight.
However, God tells us that we must look at things differently. We must look at our treasure not as our own but as His. We truly own nothing, everything we have is a gift from God. We may work for our pay, but what we do with it should be filtered first through what God’s will is for its usage.
I have witnessed God’s blessings when I brought all the tithe into God’s storehouse. Truly, while I may not have had abundance I never wanted for anything. God’s provision was always there and His graceful and giving nature were clearly apparent.
Reflect on: Your tithe and your giving to God. Or rather giving back to God what His graceful provided for you.
