Reset & Rededicate

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16 NKJV)

As we come up on the new year, people begin thinking of New Year’s resolutions. It was a tradition for us to write them down each year as a family and then read them year over year to see how we had done. It was often comical what we had written down and how little we had actually accomplished. I say comical because many of the years were very similar and most were around new work out plans that never manifested.

However, we do have a job to do regarding our bodies. They are a temple for the Spirit and we should be working to keep them up. I am reminded of this as I have recently had a few of my year end check ups and luckily I am ending the year in a bit better place in some areas. But I still have work to do, as I am sure God has for me to do in the coming New Year. It is also a time to reset and rededicate myself to God and the work He has for me.

Reflect on: The coming new year and how you need to reset and rededicate yourself.
