A Warm Greeting

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. (Romans 15:7 ESV)

Do you ever truly consider how you welcome others? Are you quick with a good morning greeting or a hello? I think we have all encountered those who never say a word in greeting. Think about how you feel around them, encouraged or discouraged?

How we hold ourselves, especially in greeting, can be an important part of showing Christian love to others. If we are stone faced or solemn it can come across negatively. We want to encourage those we meet and a warm greeting can go a long way. I have learned so much about what others need by simply smiling and greeting them warmly. In fact, this has become such a staple of my interactions others can quickly tell when I am not at my best or something has me frustrated. Yes, this can be a bad thing, but I prefer they expect something more positive from me on the norm.

We must remember our every interaction should give glory to God.

Reflect on: What others see in you from how you greet them.
