Have you known those who simply continue to walk in darkness? I expect we all know or have known someone like this. Someone who simply will not be swayed by scripture of anything that smacks of religion. They have turned away or they simply do not want to hear about it.

However, some times the hardest to reach become the most ardent Christians. God just has to break through their hard shell.

Maybe we too have been this way about some aspect of our lives. We give almost everything to God, but we hold something back. Maybe it is a bad habit we really do not want to break or a relationship we harbor even though it is not conducive to our Christian life. We forget that we cannot allow some darkness to remain in our lives. We must forfeit it all and carry our cross daily.

There is no place for darkness in the light.

Reflect on: that which you have stubbornly held on to that may be a darkness in your life. Find a way to let the light outshine the darkness.
