²⁵ Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost^[a]those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25 ESV)

Christ intercedes for us in every way. Yes, His grace and mercy saved us on the cross. But even now, He is interceding for each of us, every day, in every way. We have someone in heaven who understands our various trial and temptations because He came to this earth and lived them.

You may think, “well He does not understand my unique situation, how could He?” He does so because in taking on the form of man He felt men’s weaknesses, although He did not succumb to them and sin as we do. He also does so through the great compassion He has for each of His lambs. Remember He is the one who leaves the ninety nine to save the one.

Reflect on: The fact that you have this great high priest who intercedes on your behalf every day.
