After a relatively long and hectic week a buddy and I tackled some parts upgrades on my Jeep yesterday. It was not a hard task, but this morning my body is feeling the impact of both the week and the physical work.
25 Your bars shall be iron and bronze,
and as your days, so shall your strength be. (Deuteromy 33:25 ESV)
As my day’s roll on by I am feeling the true impact of today’s scripture. I have always been pretty strong and relatively healthy. I truly thank God for that. Some of that, I think, was always expected of me being a bigger man. Now as my day’s grow longer, so it seems shall my strength be.
But I am not giving up or giving in. Too many years of working through the small pain’s help one work through the more severe pains. Growing up in small towns and working with a lot of blue collar small town men taught me a lot about just working through it. This can be said for a lot of things in life. We just have to work through it.
Reflect on: How you work through your pain, be it physical, mental or spiritual.
