25 Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
    and one who waters will himself be watered. (Proverbs 11:25 ESV)

Do we consider that maybe some good things we do not experience come from a lack of us doing good things for others?

The scriptures are replete with references like “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, but it goes much further than that. What God is trying to tell us is not just to do right by others, but to actually work to water them and enrich their lives. To help others thrive and to show them Jesus love for mankind.

Whether this is in a leadership role in our families, in our work places or other organizations we are a part of, we should be blessing others lives. This means showing compassion to others, being there for them, lending a hand, seeing to their needs and showing genuine concern. It really takes so little to show others that we care. In fact you do not need to be in a leadership role to show Godly leadership in this way.
