Called into Question

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4 ESV)

Scripture is a compelling compilation, written by many men over many years, yet it stays cohesive with God’s message of love and salvation.

It is then hard for me to understand when people try to pass it off as a collection of stories. If you have read the Bible through the message becomes clear and the hope of which today’s scripture comes shining through.

Many have tried to cancel the Bible but it has held true throughout centuries. The veracity of many of the stories have been proven historically, and yet we still debate. The various translations may not help this, although if you take the time to read them provide an even more compelling picture of its truth.

The Bible even predicts its own time enduring quality saying, “35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35 ESV)

So, for those who call scripture into question, I say, read it. Read it through, multiple times and look for the broader themes. Stop taking it out of context and understand the entire message that is here for your salvation and your hope.
