9 And the angel said[a] to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” (Revelations 19:9 ESV)
Many may challenge the veracity of scripture, but as believers we know that these are the true words of God. Yes, man had a hand in writing them, but God provided the words. Ours is not to question the interpretation but to take value from the wisdom imparted.
I too read Stoic philosophy because of the wisdom imparted. However, I can clearly see the difference between Stoic writing and scripture and where the inspiration came from in each. Scripture is not the end of wisdom, but it’s beginning, its root.
Thus, when we study “Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb”, we begin to see the many layers to the message. We have all been invited, and when the invitation has been accepted we are blessed. The marriage supper is something we will take part in when we get to heaven. It represents many things to believers, but the most important part is how we are connected to the Bridegroom through His blood.
Scripture brings us many messages, with many layers and is the true word of God. We need only to accept His salvation so we can truly understand His words.
