An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Pay back, while we think will be satisfying, rarely leads to anything fruitful. Scripture also teaches that it is not ours to to deal with but for God to judge.

Giving into the idea of negative repayment gives others control over our lives that we do not need to give up. At times simple acceptance and forebearance is the best course.
