4 For the Lord takes pleasure in his people;
he adorns the humble with salvation. (Psalm 149:4 ESV)
We all go through times when we may not feel loved and may even feel very alone even around loving family. Sadly, Christmas time can be one such time of the year where people feel the most alone.
It is not that we are truly alone, or truly unloved, it is just our perception. This perception can be bolstered by the many visuals of Christmas of family’s being together when our’s might not be able to do so. However, what Christmas truly should be for the humble and faithful is a joyful remembrance of a babe being born to us and a Savior coming to earth.
Now is a time for us to reflect upon our Savior’s birth and the gift of His love. Knowing that no matter what, He is with us and we need not feel alone. The enemy is working overtime to keep us down and we need to recognize this and remember to take up the Armor of God to combat his slings and arrows. We must take this time and quietly bask in the warmth of God’s love.
You are not alone. You are not unloved.
