New Beginnings

18 “Do not remember the past events;
pay no attention to things of old.
19 Look, I am about to do something new;
even now it is coming. Do you not see it?
Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness,
rivers[a] in the desert. (Isaiah 43:18-19 CSB)

Each day brings a new beginning. We have the opportunity to start fresh and make new paths and open ourselves to the newness of the day. It is a fresh beginning and we can experience this every day. If we choose.

This is a state of mind but it is also something that God shows us in the dawn of each new day. It is something that God provides for us each day as well. He desires we walk His path, but He allows us to walk the path we choose. As the years pass and we mature in life and in faith this becomes so very clear. I especially like a fresh cool morning after a rain. It reminds me of all God does to renew the earth and our lives.

God calls us to begin anew in Him each day. To open ourselves to what could be rather than looking back on what has been. He is looking to renew the desert within each of us with His living waters and it is within us to allow of disallow this renewal.

As God works to reach a dry and weary land, He seeks to partner with us to build within us as well a new spirit. God gives us opportunity after opportunity, His mercy and love abounds.

Thus, look upon this new day not like the previous day. Look upon it anew and begin again.
