11 But Moses asked God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:11 CSB)
What in your life is a barrier to your faith?
Moses asked, “Who am I?” Could you be suffering from the same barrier to going and doing what God wants you to do? Maybe you ask who you are, or you believe you are not qualified in some other way. You may have heard it said, “God does not necessarily send the equipped, He equips those He sends.”
I spent many years saying I had no spiritual gifts. Then God put me through a time where He made my spiritual gifts very evident. Since that time He has used me in a lot of different ways. I was one, like Moses, who asked “who am I”. Then I argued I was not prepared, not qualified. Some may still argue that qualification, but I no longer do. God made me to do what I am doing.
When we are willing, but our insecurity creates a barrier God will find a way to tear that barrier down. If we show a willingness, God will supply a way. Ask any missionary who has to raise funds to go on mission, then rely upon the mercy and grace of others to keep them there. No matter how you see missionary work this is tough. But a missionary is banking all of their security on God. Christ wants them, like the original apostles He sent to be looking to no one but Him to send.
What are your barriers today?
