The Underlying Message

8 They collapse and fall,
but we rise and stand firm. (Psalm 20:8 CSB)

There is something unique about those who are strong in their faith. No matter what is going on around them, they stand firm in their resolve that God is for them. They have learned that even when life is at its worst, they have a God who they can count on. While others collapse and fall, their faith is not shaken.

This quality will become more and more important as we move toward Christ return as the world will turn ever more against us.

This strength of character is not built upon false hopes. It gets built upon watching what God does in a life lived for Him. It gets built upon a life where God’s grace and mercy have been manifest in the realization and actualization of Christ promises and sacrifice. Strong faith is not a think built upon wishful thinking. No, it is built upon maturing in our faith through much study, much prayer and those promises answered in our lives.

If you consider that entire nations have fallen while Christianity stood strong you begin to realize the strength of faith. It is a brotherhood based upon a mutual goal to heal, nurture and reach others with Christ loving mercy. Has it been perverted and corrupted at times and used for wrong purposes. Yes, it has. But what has continued to stand the test of time is Christ message of love through His sacrifice.
