Don’t go Quietly

24 Truly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains by itself. But if it dies, it produces much fruit. (John 12:24 CSB)

Churches are filled today with grains of wheat that remain by themselves. They sit and soak and never spend a moment out in the world planing grains of the gospel. They lie in the furrows of the world atop the ground, unplanted and unfruitful.

You think my accusation harsh? Well, if there were more of us out there growing and standing firm for Christ the world would be a much different place. We would not be the silent minority we have become. Or do you believe the tenants this great country was founded upon and the strength of our Christian nation were wrong to begin with?

You see, we cannot hold true to scriptural truths and also be silent about our faith. We cannot sit idly by while the vocal majority shout us down. And you may say, this is easy for me because I am a big man. One others may think twice about speaking against. While in my younger days that might have been true, the vocal majority have become bold and size rarely matters for one man against a crowd.

But I will continue to stand tall and stand strong. I will continue to spread the grains of my faith as I continue in the hope that I was once planted and now seek produce fruit daily. I will not sit and soak, but I will write and speak boldly and accept what Christ sends my way. And when the crowd rises against me I will not go quietly.
