15 The nations have fallen into the pit they made;

I have been watching a number of debates that have arisen out of what can only be a reflection of our verse today. The nation has fallen into the pit they made and they continue to create traps for themselves and threaten to drag us all down with them. We cannot expect to live in this way and there be no consequences.

History is littered with the remnants of once great societies. But each of these collapsed more from internal strife and moral collapse rather than from external factors. In effect they became shadows of themselves over time by allowing social decay from within. My fear is that America is headed down this same path.

Our social discourses have fallen into debates around things that are simple moral truths and scientific fact. Society wants us to trade moral truth for a debased lie. Many would argue that my views of moral truth alone are in question. That there is no real moral truth anymore and that my thinking is what is backwards. But I will continue to stand upon scriptural truth and if we do not begin to see the error of our ways soon there will be no reversing the decay.

I am willing to be called backward, if backward is standing for Christ.
