Impossible and the Unlikely

19 Samuel grew. The Lord was with him, and he fulfilled everything Samuel prophesied. ( 1 Samuel 3:19 CSB)

Samuel was very young when God called him and as such he was unsure regarding the prophesies he was given and what he should do with the information. But he soon learned that following God’s path was his best course of action and he began to fill his new role.

We may not always be sure what we are to do with what God is trying to give us. He may be making things uneasy so that we listen closer or change a way. It could be that He is making things uneasy for us so that we will accept a much better way or calling. No matter the case, we need to heed our uneasiness and listen ever closer for God’s still small voice.

It is when we finally relinquish our death grip upon our world as we know it that God finally has space to work. And once God starts working there is nothing we cannot accomplish, no matter how difficult or out of this world it may seem.

We want to be able to see that God is with us and rest assured He is. But for Him to be fully present in our lives we have to open up and allow Him to work. We have to be willing to do great things even if they seem impossible based on where we are today.

God does impossible thing with the unlikely.
