9 Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9 CSB)
Life can, at times, seem bleak. We can feel like we have been abandoned. We can feel like things are taking too long to happen or are too difficult. Our dark valleys can feel like a bogs we are slogging through in a continual search for higher and dryer ground.
We may be compelled to give up.
But it is here where God builds perseverance into our lives. It is here where we learn that He is truly with us through every step of life. It is here where we must not grow tired of doing good. Here is where we reap the benefit of a deep faith life.
I have recently been counseling with a number of people who are struggling. I too have been struggling if I am honest. This entire month has been hard and the coming summer seem to be filled with both major business and life events for all of us. To be sure, there seems to be no slowing down, only full speed ahead. These things weigh heavily upon us all.
My one message to those I have been talking to is to keep the faith. To rely upon God and his provision for our lives. All of us may not win. We may not come out of this life unscathed. There is no promise for that. But there are promises that God will be with us no matter what. God, who is our provision and our strength, will pull us through. He knows He may need to carry us at times and He is there to do so.
But we must not give up.
