Uneasy to Hear

35 Jesus heard that they had thrown the man out, and when he found him, he asked, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”[a]

36 “Who is he, Sir, that I may believe in him?” he asked.

37 Jesus answered, “You have seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”

38 “I believe, Lord!” he said, and he worshiped him. (John 9:35-38 CSB)

The Pharisees had just thrown the blind man, who Jesus restored sight to, out of the temple because they did not believe who Jesus was. How often we are seeing this in today’s world? People are unwilling to hear the truth so they toss the baby out with the bath water. It what they believe is not true, they simply chose to continue believing a lie.

I seem to be writing on this topic a lot these days. However, I think that is because it is becoming more and more prevalent in the world. It is hard to watch people continually delude theirselves. But they would tell you that I am deluding myself as well with my belief. The difference is that Christ love for them is strong enough to continue to try to help them see the Way, the Truth and the Life.

The enemy has a lock on this world for the time being. But the time is coming when Christ will return and the enemy will be cast into the pit. Some may have just tuned out because I started talking about prophetic things from the Bible that are yet to come. People do not like talking about the end times, even many faith based people.

These truths that separate us from God’s truth are not wrong just because they are uneasy to hear. Hearing and adhering to the hard things of scripture are what truly sets us apart. Just because it is hard does not make it wrong.
