13 I am certain that I will see the Lord’s goodness
in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13 CSB)

It is so very easy to get discouraged when we are facing something that seems catastrophic or is long term and seems to have no positive outcome.

I feel like I write about this often, but it is because the Bible addresses it frequently as God knows the difficulties of the world we live in.

You see, living in a fallen world means that death and decay are inevitable. We get older, our bodies age, things break, people let us down, institutions come and go and we seem to have little to no control over any of it. And this is true, only God is truly in control.

But we can look toward God’s goodness and know that no matter what, He has us in hand. He works in the “land of the living”, meaning He specifically works for those of us who have accepted Christ. He cares for everyone, and wants everyone to come to Christ saving grace. He wants to see us all in the land of the living who will see eternal life even though our physical bodies may die.

We can see the Lords goodness in the land of the living.
