The Destination not The Situation

1…..There is no truth, no faithful love,
and no knowledge of God in the land!
Cursing, lying, murder, stealing,
and adultery are rampant;
one act of bloodshed follows another.
For this reason the land mourns,
and everyone who lives in it languishes….(Hosea 4:1b-3a CSB)

Does the above sound familiar. It speaks to the fact that from the days of the Bible to now we are living in a fallen world that is headed to the last days.

There has been much written and speculated on regarding the last days. There is really nothing of value I can add to that. The days are coming but no man knows when they will actually occur. Ours is to live in the world and the time we are given the best we can while we watch these things unfold.

However, we can choose how we live in the time we are given. We can keep ourselves from the negative aspects of our scripture and seek to make the world a better place. As Christians in this world we are given the task of spreading the Good News. A large part of that is all about simply spreading a good attitude and showing Christ love through our actions.

Yes, they days may be bad, but we can be different in a world collapsing upon itself. We can live a new life of hope, given by God, that exemplifies a small part of the heavenly abode we are destined for.

We can be more our destination than our situation.
