Let me take a moment this moment and blow your mind.

God loves you as much as He loves Jesus!

Mind blown! Right?

Just take a few moments and reread our scripture and let it really sink in. We tend to gloss over this scripture and read it in many different ways. But let’s break it down.

Jesus is in us as God is in him, completely one.

This is so that the world may know God, who sent Jesus to be manifest through our lives.

And He loves us as He loved Jesus.

I do not see how anyone can read this simple, but profound, line of scripture and not come away completely awed. But think about it. God gave His one and only son for you. He allowed His blood to be shed for you and me. Because He loves us in the same way.

This scripture came up in both my reading and through a sermon this weekend. I think God really wants us to realize the magnitude of his love for us. There is no greater love than this.
