Simply no Threat

1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient. (Ephesians 2:1-2 CSB)

The scriptures often speak of the enemy’s realm and his power here on earth. But many pass over these passages as they either do not believe in anything beyond the tangible or they are simply ignoring this aspect of our battle.

Some have seen this world manifest in our world in various ways. When these stories are told we are looked upon skeptically. But one does not have to see demons or other-worldly sights to witness the power and actions of the ruler of the power of the air.

The problem is in the choosing not to see, not in the inability to do so.

Stay close enough to God for long enough, and spend time ministering to people in the marginal places in life and you will see. Sometimes it can even be evident in the more mainstream places, as often those places are where those who think they do not need God dwell.

Regardless, many of us can assure you that this realm exist. In fact, if you are not witnessing at least some level of worldly manifestation and pressure against your faith, maybe you should question its strength. For when we are not acting upon our faith there is little need for the enemy to play his hand against us.

We are simply no threat.
