Abundance

15 He then told them, “Watch out and be on guard against all greed, because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.” (Luke 12:15 CSB)

Have you known someone who was really hard to buy for because they kinda already had everything?

In truth, most of us live a life of abundance. But it is when our lives are lived totally in this abundance that it can be come sinful.

We are in a time when everything has gotten so expensive. Even when one has a lot, it takes a lot to live. Because of this I worry about those who have little, but I need to seek more to find ways to help them. Simply worrying about another is not caring for them. We must seek ways to help.

And, no, we cannot fix all of the worlds ills. But we can be the hand that helps the ones we encounter. This is not always financial help. People, some times, just need someone to show they care. Our time is something far more precious than our money that we can spend upon another.

We must look to our abundance and make provision to help those who are in need. We should look to our abundance and thank God for giving us all we have, asking His direction in it’s use.
