15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. (1 John 2:15 NIV)

When our love is missplaced and does not come from the Spirit within, but comes from a love of the world, pleasure is fleeting.

Now, when our love is focused upon others and not things, then we derive pleasure from helping others. This is the one thing that is “of the world” where we can never missplaced our love if it is within the Spritiual context.
