24 This is the day the Lord has made;
let’s rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24 CSB)
As I sit this morning looking out the window at the beauty of the dawning morning, I am inspired by God’s wonderful creation. It is, at times, inspiring to just sit quietly and soak in the spender God has put in place around us.
I like peaceful Sunday mornings. Taking time to read and reflect. To write a little and just soak in … life. Allowing my mind to wonder over the bigger things that are beyond the day to day. Trying not to allow the pressures of the past or coming work week to invade. But allowing my spirit to mount up on wings like eagles with The Spirit.
I breathe deeply, allowing my body to take full advantage of doing it’s job of getting oxygen into my brain. And, in doing all these things peace settles over me and everything in me breathes a sigh of relief. A deep sigh that speaks to the knowledge that God is in control and my life and eternity are set in place by His hand.
And I am at peace.
