27 For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him?
His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back? (Isaiah 14:27 NIV)
God has His plans in motion and that is that.
Should we believe that those plans are to prosper us? Of course! That is scriptural.
But we cannot see the future and as such we should be accepting of how it unfolds. This does not mean that we will always understand or that it will always be comfortable. Probably the single most difficult and anxiety inducing aspect of our future is our inability to control it. We have but one thing we can control, and that is ourselves.
So how should we face an uncertain future?
We should lean into it, making the most of each day and allowing God to work in and through us. We should display our faith through how we accept the possible changes before us. Few things in life are certain.
But, rest assured, what God has put in motion no one can thwart? Once His hand is stretched out, no one can turn it back?
