34 For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?
35 And who has ever given to God,
that he should be repaid?[a]
36 For from him and through him
and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:34-36 CSB)
We typically want to lay out for God the way we want things to go. We pray about our desires and our timeframes and I believe God just smiles.
For who are we to try to guess what the right move might be? Who are we to believe that our timing is the best timing? Who are we to believe that we know best?
No, to be sure our vision into the future is limited to about the next second. We make our plans and God smiles.
Luckily, our God is the God who wants the best for us and often works things out to our hearts desire. Even when things seem wrong, they turn out right. This is Gods hand in our lives.
But maybe your life is not turning out right. Maybe you are struggling each and every day. It is again here where we must ask, who are we? Even in the most difficult situations we cannot see far enough ahead to know the outcome. To know what miracle God is working in others lives because of how we are reacting to our situation. It could be that God is answering others prayers through our adversity.
But one day we will know. God will make every hurt clear to us and we will see the beauty of His handiwork throughout our lives.
