10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. (2 Corinthians 5:10 CSB)
This scripture should give us a moment of pause for some deep thought.
We will all stand before the judgement seat of Christ.
We will be repaid for what we have done while in our bodies.
But we do not have to fear.
Jesus paid the price for our sins and while our evil will be pointed out, he will wipe away each tear shed for our errant behavior.
But this sobering thought should point us to toward just how we should be living. What we should be doing while we are on this earth and have this body. Seeking to do His will and striving for a more exemplary life.
More so, we should consider just what motivates us. Does our typical motivation point toward God or back toward ourselves. That which points toward God is what is of greatest reward in the light of eternity.
