23 But the one sown on the good ground—this is one who hears and understands the word, who does produce fruit and yields: some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty times what was sown.” (Matthew 13:23 CSB)
What is God’s Word and Christ saving grace producing in your life?
Can you point to the fruit that is being yielded?
These are the questions that make us squirm under their scrutiny. But they are questions we should be asking and a scrutiny we each should put our life under.
We do not have to become pastors or missionaries to produce good fruit in our faith life. Our fruit may need to be focused wholly upon our family. It may come in the form of giving of our financial fruits or of our time to worth acts.
But there is one thing that should accompany our production. That our acts or deeds point back to Christ. That through them others know without a doubt that Christ is King in our lives and there is something there they want. Our production should point to salvation even if our fruit are but seeds being planted.
Read Matthew 13:18-23 today and consider which of the sowers seed sprouted in your life.
