In All Things

8 If I go east, he is not there,
and if I go west, I cannot perceive him.
When he is at work to the north, I cannot see him;
when he turns south, I cannot find him.
10 Yet he knows the way I have taken;[a]
when he has tested me, I will emerge as pure gold. (Job 23:8-10 CSB)

Do you think that when you cannot seem to find God, he cannot find you?

It can seem, at times, that God is elusive. That no matter where we look we cannot seem to find him. We may feel alone or even abandoned in some of our most trying times.

But make no mistake, he knows the way you have taken.

You may be going through a time of testing, but he will be there on the other side. And if we look closely, even in our suffering, he is there too.

There is a way to begin to sense God more in our daily lives, and this is to find God in all things. With God in our lives he does not pick and choose what parts of our life he wants to be involved with. He is in every aspect of our lives, no matter how small. So to begin to recognize his hand in every aspect and his presence in every moment is to realize God in all things.

This is how we deal with both the good and the bad with equal grace, and how we allow God to permeate our whole life.
