A New Creation

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17 CSB)

New Years is a time for optimism. A time for renewal and resetting of one’s attitudes about life. With the last few years we have lived through we are desperately in need of renewal and reset.

Thus, I choose today two words to renew and reset my mind on, that I plan to take throughout this New Year.

Obedience and Optimism!

I think to be the change we want to see in our world we must walk into each day optimistically. We need to see each interaction as a divine opportunity to show the love of Christ and to shine on everyone we meet.

In obedience I start this new year with renewed vigor in my ministry and my outreach, in my desire to honor God in my every action. To embody Christ each day, to guide others when I can and to create each day anew.

In essence I choose to let the old pass away and live upon the promise of being a new creation in Christ.

I hope to live ever more my personal mission: To Shine on all I meet, to Create, to Embody and to Guide.

If these devotionals have blessed you, please do me a favor and pass them along. My desire is to allow God’s message of love and acceptance to shine through my writing, on all.
