15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
How do you handle the truth?
Seems an obvious question with an obvious answer, right? Yet, in today’s world truth is being questioned at every corner.
Thus, it is ever so important how we handle biblical truth. This is especially true in how we go about the apologetic side of our belief. You cannot well stand up for the truth in God’s Word if you do not read and know the way scripture builds upon itself. To be a good apologist you must spend time in study of scripture.
This is why many may fear to take up the battle for truth because they do not want to take the time to well understand it. But how can we say we know The Way, if we have not studied The Way.
Anything we want to do well requires three things; study, application and review.
The battle for truth is heating up in our world today. Even if you does not plan to debate the scriptures regularly, you still may be called on to defend your hold on your faith. And this will become ever more true in the coming age.
