A king’s heart is like channeled water in the Lord’s hand:
He directs it wherever he chooses. (Proverbs 21:1 CSB)

There are so many forces active in this world. So many competing agendas and so many conflicting ideologies. But there is but one God in control of them all.

It may be easy to think that the enemy has complete control over this world. At times is can surely seem so with all that is happening around the globe.

This is where it can be very easy to become jaded, especially when we see or experience bad things happening to good people. God may allow this but it is not without his knowledge and acceptance. We cannot see everything clearly right now and must accept what happens as God’s will.

But as our scripture instructs us today, He directed it wherever He chooses. Like water, God channels what is happening in our hearts and minds. This is not to say that we cannot make bad choices, we still have both a sinful nature and free will. But the Spirit is there working to guide us correctly.

We must but be malleable to God’s guidance.
