15 They came to Jerusalem, and he went into the temple and began to throw out those buying and selling. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves (Mark 11:15 CSB)
We have gone through a period where everyone has been speaking out about various topics they feel passionately about. While there is nothing wrong with that, as even Jesus showed justifiable anger at the money changers, we need to ask ourselves a question.
Are we right, and righteous to do so?
Obviously, Jesus was in the right as this was a house of prayer not a place for selling things. He was especially right because he knew that what was being sold was not being done so fairly.
But with all of the fervor that has gone along with recent events, are we right to be adding to this? This is not an incitement of standing for your own cause, but do we need to do so with so much shouting down of others?
Maybe seek first God’s view then decide if what you are doing, you are doing for self or for God.
