² The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, serving^[a] in the household of his Egyptian master.

It is very easy to lament our position or situation. In fact we tend to even do so when things are perfectly fine.

Joseph went through a lot early in his life but he always grew no matter where he was.

When we consider that God is on our side and there for us every step of the way how can we not grow. In fact I would go so far as to say that when we do not grow, we are going against God’s plan.

Thus, take a moment today to thank God for where you are and consider how you might grow where you are.
