Some time we are provided words of wisdom that actually hurt. Because they go against how we might be living our lives.

But, if we allow this wisdom to sink in they become like firmly embedded nails, helping to guide us.

There are things my father said that have stuck with me through the years. Little tidbits of wisdom that echo in my head when I do something that goes against them.

We often will repeat famous quotes that resonate with us and serve as a simple guide.

Then why don’t we do this same with all of the wisdom passed to us by The Shepherd? We have an entire book of wisdom with which we can test pretty much every aspect of life. Yet, we tend to read our bibles and not really digest and internalize the wisdom contained within.

We should read the scripture less as a daily chore and more as a daily lesson in wisdom.
